Introducing the CQB100W8 series, a high-performance 8:1 ultra-wide input DC-DC converter delivering 100W of regulated power. Designed in a compact quarter-brick size (2.28" x 1.45" / 57.9 x 36.8 mm), this series is IEC/UL 62368-1 certified and provides 3000Vac reinforced isolation between input and output.

Available in single output options of 5, 12, 15, 24, 28, 48, and 54 VDC, the series features convenient functions like output voltage trimming and remote on/off control. It also complies with key railway standards, including EN 50155 (with external circuits), EN 61373 (shock and vibration), and EN 45545-2 (fire and smoke).

For added design flexibility, optional models offer a BUS pin and external UVLO adjustment. The BUS pin supports system optimization by extending or maintaining holdup time, minimizing inrush current, and reducing the size of external capacitors. External UVLO adjustment enables precise tuning of the under-voltage lockout threshold.

Exceptional Performance:

The CQB100W8 series supports a wide input voltage range of 9 to 75 VDC, accommodating common railway power system voltages. It achieves high efficiency of up to 91% and operates reliably in extreme conditions, with a wide case temperature range of -40°C to +105°C. Additionally, it supports high-altitude operation up to 5000m and boasts an impressive MTBF of up to 991k hours.

Comprehensive protection:

Comprehensive protection features include input under-voltage lockout, output over-current/over-voltage protection, over-temperature protection, and continuous short-circuit protection. Certified to IEC/UL 62368-1, EN 50155 (with external circuits), and EN 45545-2, it also meets railway requirements for voltage supply interruption (Class S3) and voltage change-over (Class C2) based on Cincon-referenced circuitry.

Applications:

Ideal for a range of railway systems—including signaling, TCMS, communications, doors, displays, and broadcasting—the CQB100W8 series is also a great fit for industrial and ITE applications such as telecom, automation, testing and measurement, power management, and industrial control systems.
